Back in the swing of things

This weekend was the annual Sheffield Beginners event, held at my favourite indoor venue, Ponds Forge.  I was playing for the Naughty Strawberries and we finished 6th in the experienced division, with my old mixed team Don't Let Go finishing 1st.  

For the second year in a row Hallam provided both finalists in the beginners section.  The TD of the event and current Phat 'eds captain David Pryce was interviewed prior to the event.  The article (not worded very well in my opinion) can be foundhere.

I must admit it took me a little while to get back into the swing of indoors Ultimate but I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and am now looking forward to an exciting winter of Indoors fun!  The UKU Open qualifiers have now been announced and Mixed should be announced shortly.  The rules are finished and should be on the UK Ultimate website this week (hopefully), and will then be placed on this site too.

On the ninety2 event front, I have submitted bids for three UKU outdoor events for 2009 and have been in contact with Steve Giguere of Lookflyregarding some spangly new clothes for myself, and also the possibility of getting involved with the Copa Cobana.  Watch this space.
